Comedian Jim Gaffigan once compared visiting Orlando in July to “standing in line on the surface of the sun.” As someone who actually lives in Orlando, allow me to correct the record: it’s a Hot Pocket in an active volcano where there are also hurricanes.

Glad we cleared that up!

Between writing the Avocado Bites newsletter for authors, raising Baby H, and conquering a mountain of health and logistical obstacles, I have used up my summer spoons. I’m ready for fall, y’all.

Project SPOOKY FINALE (Vitalian Chronicles #4)

I’m revisiting the outline for this one, not because of any glaring problems, but because I wanted to give myself more time before drafting in earnest. Once Stories That Bleed is finalized and ready for print, I’ll dive into Safran’s final installment again.

Project TAMELANDS

For the first time, I’m redrafting a story, and I love it. Stronger prose, tighter plot, and more consistent characters are coming through on the rewrite.
