Exactly one year ago, I got the email from my cover designer.

We’d started with this Canva mockup:

I layered my first book’s cover in the back for reference πŸ˜‚

Thankfully, Emilie Haney at EAH Creative has a far better eye than mine. Through several patient revisions, she transformed this idea into something incredible.

Here’s the official cover artwork for Stories That Bleed:

cue choir of angels!

With 5 days until the Kickstarter launch (what?????), I’d love your help sharing this new coverβ€”but not until tomorrow.

On Friday, I’m sharing the cover with the world on Instagram. You can participate by:

  • sharing my post to your stories

  • sending it to your fantasy-loving friends

  • OR posting this image (but not until Friday!!!)

The blurb:

❝

My dear, foolish daughter. You thought the truth was done with you.

Now a fugitive from living and dead alike, Safran leads her defectors to the desert city of Salβ€”where a dangerous relic known only as Vitalia’s Heart is rumored to be hidden. But Safran’s quest has summoned challengers, including a sinister specter who haunts her with a single word:

Daughter.

With ghosts on her heels, Safran finds catastrophe within Sal’s gates. A catatonic plague has struck the city, leaving foul creatures to roam the streets and derailing their search.

As dark forces race to claim Vitalia’s Heart, secrets that have festered for fifteen hundred years may now cost Safran not just her own soul, but the souls of everyone she holds dear.

See you there.

Addison
